Opposition leader Abir Moussi begins hunger strike in Bulla Regia prison

Lawyer Nafaa Laaribi announced that his client, Free Destourian Party (PDL) leader Abir Moussi, began a hunger strike on 23 September at Bulla Regia prison, which he described as a response to what he called 'an escalation of irregularities and procedural violations' against her after 'administrative and legal remedies had been exhausted'. Her party says it will keep the public informed of her health and the case's progress. Moussi has been held since October 2023 and has staged several previous hunger strikes to protest her continued detention.
