Military court sentences opposition party leader Olfa Hamdi to four years in prison

The Permanent Military Court of Tunis sentenced Olfa Hamdi, president of the Troisième République party, to a cumulative four years in prison and 80,000 dinars in fines across two separate cases, her lawyer Akram Moussa said. He said each case carried two years in prison and a 40,000-dinar fine, on charges that include conspiracy against state security along with other military offences. Moussa said Hamdi is already serving a two-year sentence from a similar case decided in March.
