Algerian border guard drowns after floods sweep him into Tunisia near Kasserine, second man missing

Tunisian and Algerian rescue teams recovered the body of an Algerian border guard on Sunday from a watercourse at Oued Serri, in the Ain Defla area near Haidra in Kasserine governorate, after flash floods from heavy rain over Algeria's Tebessa region swept him and a colleague across the border. National Guard, civil protection and forest agents resumed the search for the second guard on Monday; he remains missing. The incident came during a week of storms that has also flooded parts of Greater Tunis since 17 September.
