Trump rejects Iran's seven-day plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz
President Trump said on 26 September he rejects a seven-day roadmap Iran submitted through Qatar to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The roadmap included lifting the US naval blockade, suspending sanctions on Iranian oil and unfreezing about $12 billion in assets. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran has only seen an "initial reaction" from Trump and is waiting for a formal response through mediators.
