EU unlocks over €710m in aid for Africa, the Middle East and Ukraine

The European Commission announced more than 710 million euros in humanitarian aid on 27 September, with the largest share, 380 million euros, going to migration protection and voluntary return programmes in sub-Saharan Africa. The package also covers food insecurity, the Ebola response in DR Congo, and support for people affected by the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.
