Fuel transport federation to file strike notice for September 23-24

The General Federation of Petroleum and Chemical Products says it will file formal notice on 27 August for a two-day strike by fuel-tanker drivers on 23-24 September, over a long-standing labour agreement and unresolved social-security contributions. The federation gave roughly a month's notice, far above the ten-day legal minimum, to leave room for negotiation. The sector's last strike, a surprise walkout on 20 August that briefly disrupted supply from the Radès and Skhira terminals, was called off the same evening once the state distributor reached an agreement with drivers.
