Bulgaria set to confirm Yotova as its first elected female president

Acting President Iliana Yotova, who favours dialogue with Moscow, won Sunday's runoff with about 58 percent against Andrey Gyurov's 38 percent in parallel vote counts and exit polls, putting her on course to become Bulgaria's first elected female head of state once results are formally confirmed. Yotova opposes military aid to Ukraine while saying she wants Bulgaria to stay sovereign inside a strong Europe.
