Jailed opposition leader Abir Moussi dismisses lawyer from her defence team
Free Destourian Party leader Abir Moussi, in detention since 2023 and now held at the Bulla Regia prison, publicly asked lawyer Mohamed Karim Krifa to leave her defence team, accusing him of straying from defending her rights and of coordinating with people close to power. The rift surfaced after an October 2 court hearing; Krifa has not publicly responded to the accusations. Moussi, who calls the prosecutions against her illegal, assigned a fellow lawyer, Ali Bejaoui, to formalise Krifa's removal.
