Spanish court lifts arrest warrant for exiled Catalan leader Puigdemont

Supreme Court judge Pablo Llarena revoked the national arrest warrant against Carles Puigdemont after Spain's Constitutional Court ruled that the 2024 amnesty law covers embezzlement charges tied to Catalonia's 2017 independence referendum. Puigdemont, who has lived abroad since the failed secession bid, can now return to Spain without being arrested immediately.
