Russia resumes strikes on Kyiv after Witkoff and Kushner's peace push ends without breakthrough
Russian drones and missiles struck Kyiv early Tuesday, killing at least two people, minutes after Vladimir Putin's 72-hour pause on strikes around the capital expired. The pause had covered a visit by Trump envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kyiv in a fresh push to revive peace talks. President Volodymyr Zelensky said afterwards he expects the war to continue, after the visits ended with no breakthrough announced.
