Washington, Yerevan and Baku say they are closing on a lasting peace deal

The three sides described progress on Tuesday towards finalising a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The question matters directly to Türkiye, which has kept its border with Armenia closed since 1993 and has tied normalisation to a settlement between Baku and Yerevan. A treaty would also bear on the transport corridors between the Caspian and Europe.
